Key African dairy conference postponed due to COVID-19


The 16th African Dairy Conference and Exhibition scheduled to be held in Uganda on

August 27 -29, 2020 has been postponed to March 24 – 26, 2021, due to the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, the Eastern and Southern African Dairy Association (ESADA), the organisers of the event, said the move was taken as a measure aimed at supporting the war against the spread of the virus.

 “We recognise the depth of the pandemic that we are faced with and support the directive by the Government. At this time of global uncertainty, the health, well-being and safety of all our partners is our priority. It is for this reason that the host country conference committee has taken decisive action to mitigate risks and postpone the 16th African Dairy Conference and Exhibition …,” read the statement.  

The 16th African Dairy Conference and Exhibition was to be held in Kampala Uganda.

The annual event provides a platform and opportunity for dairy sector value chain actors to network with consumers and other policy and decision makers through showcasing of products and services.
